Helpful first. Honest throughout.
We want you to understand your options, including the reasons one might not be right for you.
The useful answer comes first
A short answer and the main catch come before the research details. Sources are there when you want to go deeper.
What counts as evidence
Research, guidelines, manufacturer instructions and customer experiences are different things. A trial listing is not a result. A study of one device doesn’t automatically support another.
Beyond one language
Each weekly check covers English sources, PubMed, and the WHO’s international trial registry platform, which draws on registries from China, Japan, Germany, Korea and elsewhere. It also searches two more languages in depth, in rotation: Chinese and Japanese, German and French, Korean and Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. We don’t claim to cover every country, database or language.
Who checks our work
Research and translation are AI-assisted, and every update is reviewed by a person before it’s published. We don’t have a clinical reviewer, so we don’t make new treatment recommendations of our own; where we say what helps, we point to published clinical guidelines. We haven’t tested products hands-on.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so on the note or page, with the date and the reason. Spotted a mistake or a broken link? Email [email protected].
Money
We don’t take commissions or payments from product makers. How we’re funded.
We may conclude there isn’t enough evidence to buy something. That’s a useful answer too.
