Medical disclaimer.

Quietly explains snoring research and options in plain English. It is general information, not medical advice, and it can’t diagnose or treat anything.

Not a substitute for a clinician

Nothing on this site replaces advice from a doctor, dentist or other qualified health professional who knows your situation. Talk to one before starting, stopping or changing any treatment, and before using a mouthpiece or other device.

If breathing may be interrupted

Snoring can be a sign of obstructive sleep apnoea, which needs a clinical assessment. Breathing pauses, gasping or choking at night, or heavy daytime sleepiness, are reasons to see a doctor rather than try another product. If you are very sleepy while driving, stop driving until you have been assessed.

If someone has stopped breathing or can’t be woken, call your local emergency number now (for example 000 in Australia, 911 in the US and Canada, 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU).
